The Neighbors of Cricket Slope are continuing to collect petition signatures and all concerned citizens of Oley Township and environs should consider writing letters to the developer, Mr. Anthony Forino, president of Forino Development, encouraging them to submit plans that are respectful of our historical heritage and enhance our unique town.

Be sure to identify yourself including your address on all correspondence. Elected Officials: On June 9, 2004 Officials from Governor Edward G. Rendell’s administration visited Kutztown to “send a powerful message: Pennsylvanians have the power to preserve farmland and open space, help create jobs and build a cleaner, safer environment for their families”, and on June 17, 2004 Berks County Board of Commissioners adopted a Resolution supporting Governor Rendell’s Growing Greener II farmland preservation ballot initiative, which might be before voters this November. As such, The Governor, the Berks County Commissioners and our State Legislature may be interested in our thoughts. See www.co.berks.pa.us and www.state.pa.us for more info.
